Sam Davis (right) is often referred to as the "Boy Hero of the Confederacy". In 1861, at the age of 18, Sam Davis joined the 1st Tennessee Volunteer Infantry, and went to war for the Confederacy. He was executed by Union forces in Pulaski, Tennessee.
